Ok .. this is my rifle ..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/MarsMaxx/DSCF0092.jpg I want to know if its worth it to extend the handguard and delete the standard front sight and add a flipup front sight. Now i want to make it look like this .. CLICK ME So would it be worth it? Because i was going to buy a DD omega 7.0 for it. But now im not sure. |
| Actually i dont think something like this ... Quad Rail 16" barrel, and 7" rail |

Your AR looks GREAT!!!! Problaby shoots like a dream....DPMS?? Keep it or accessorize but don't change it.
Saw the new idea. Now you have something to work on for your next build. Buy a new lower and start new. I think you'll be happier giving this one a baby brother. GOOD LUCK! |

Tony Montana did have one bad-azz rifle!!! I think when its all said and done, you'll have at least 3 AR's I was like you, I wasn't satisfied with just one and I thought buying uppers and switching lowers was the way to go. Since Aug, I had an AR built for me and I built 3 on my own all different or different furniture. I already know what I want next, just have to wait to get the $$ to buy it. |

Simple...
Take off the factory handguards. Make a low-pro gas block by cutting the front sight and bayonet lugs down with a dremel. You could probably do it without taking off the front sight. There's a great tutorial on doing this about halfway down here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782 Cut off the handguard endcap as well. Cut off the Delta ring and springs. Install a Midwest Industries or Troy rifle length FF rail. You don't need to remove the barrel/gas block/muzzle break to install these. Stick a rail mount front sight on it. |
