I assembled my first AR from a Stag lower and RRA LPK and upper. The assembly pins are real tight. If I work them will they loosen or can I do something else to loosen them up?

Are you referring to the takedown pins?

I'd put a drop of CLP or gun oil on them and inside the groove where the detent rides.

Then work the pins in and out several times and see if that helps to loosen them up.

They will loosen in time. Don't try to sand or grind them.

What kind of time period?  How many rounds?

As related in another thread I have to vigorously pound out the takedown pin with a hammer and punch on 4 builds with tight EA lowers:

They did not loosen at all after firing a few rounds to zero.  I find it hard to believe they will loosen enough to where the pins can be removed by hand.
