Stag LPK and S&W Lower
The Bolt Catch provided with the Stag LPK doesn't quite fit into the lower...ie, the bolt catch is slightly too big for the slot (don't we all wish we had that problem...so to speak). It is okay to file the bolt catch down just enought to get a smooth fit? I don't see any problem with it...am I overlooking something? Thanks for the help! Jay |

I would say smoothing the bolt catch would be the right answer. |

Has anyone else had to modify this part to fit into the slot? Anything mass produced is bound to have a lemon pop in at some point. Chances are either someone didn't machine the slot in the lower quite wide enough, or the bolt catch didn't have enough material removed in the final production steps. It's never personally happened to me, but there are alot of people who have run into those sitations. If you have a spare bolt catch laying around, you could use it to determine if it's the catch or the reciever...but it doesn't sound like you do or you'd probably be using it. Take a file to the bolt catch. It'll be fine. |
