Have my two new lowers
Have my new LPK's
Have read and re-read the installation instructions here and elsewhere - but no one mentions YOU MUST put parts A in before B or C or your screwed.

So is there a natural order of part installation?
I plan on following FALARAK's guide step by step on my lower on our sticky here

Unless otherwise directed.

Thanks all

Just follow the guide....

I don't understand the point of your question.

On the 3 I've built, I followed the assembly sequence in the link, and they went together real well.  The scary part is definely pounding in the trigger guard roll pin (haven't broken an ear yet thankfully!)- -make sure the ear is supported, and make sure you put the pin in the correct hole (you pound the pin in the ears you can see through).  I use a 3/4" oak block, and squease the tip of the roll pin in a bit so it starts easier.  I tape up the receiver as shown, and use a pair of Channel Lock water pump pliers instead of vice-grips for the Bolt catch.  It goes in fairly easy into the soft aluminum.

Check your parts kit over to make sure you have all the correct parts- -match up to whats in the pic.  I got a kit that had 2 of the same spring, and was missing a different spring- -glad it wasn't the first one, otherwise I would have probably screwed up the assembly.

The one thing in the instructions that was a little unclear to me was the disconnector spring.  Its tapered.  The fat end goes into the trigger, skinny end pushes on the disconnector.

The takedown springs and detents like to become airborne(and hide)- -assemble in a big plastic bag, and wear your safety glasses.

Patience is a virtue.  The assembly time required goes way down after the first one, and you'll be wanting to assemble another one in short order.  BRD is FUN! (but expensive).

Sorry for the confusion Beavo451, and thank you RobRat that's the info I was looking for - follow the HOW TO in the link and I'll be all right.
Thanks for the what to watch for Rob.

This weekend or next I'll give the first one a try.

Any one else have any other words of wisdom?
(about building a lower receiver that is.)

The only problem I had with the sequence of my build is that I was unable to get the safety in AFTER I put the trigger/disconnector in.  I finally had to take the trigger pin and trigger/disconnector out, put the safety in, then slide the trigger/disconnector assembly UNDER the safety.

Did you have it in the safe postition? Could You have cocked the hammer(presses the trigger down behind the pivot pin) and inserted the selector in the SAFE pos.?
