| I ordered a del-ton kit last Friday. They've informed me that the chrome bolt/carriers are backordered at the moment and they don't know when they'll be in. What's the value in this part? I figured it may last longer than a standard setup, be more reliable and easier to clean, and would be better if the SHTF. |

You pretty much hit on it. Chrome carriers aren't necessarily "easier" to clean, but it's much easier to tell when they are dirty.
They might run a little smoother, but a milspec carrier that works itself into a rifle does pretty well too IMO. Nice, but most definitely not needed. |
