First off, if you bought it from Pete at Legal Transfers then you are in great shape from the start.
I just built a similar rifle with Stag parts and they were top-notch. The fit and finish of the parts were great with no surprises. If you notice a color difference between the Spikes lower and the Stag upper then give them both a good rubdown with CLP, it equalizes the color somewhat. Above all enjoy that sweet deal you got on the kit!! |
| thanks guys - this is a great forum - and I want to support the sponsors as much as possible... everything i read indicated to me this was a good deal and though stag has not gotten the raves like lmt or bcm... i think the 1:9 twist is desirable for me as I have heard 1:7 does not wor the best with 55 grs ( I know opinions differ here but my buddy has a colt 1:7 twist and he says 55grs just not the best in his rifle). Supposed to be here tomorrow and I am hoping to put her together this weekend (if I can wait that long). |

You made the right decision to buy from Pete at Legal Transfers. I purchased the kit he has on the EE with two substitutions. The factory shipped the 2H kit instead of the 1H I wanted and it was taken care of in two days time. Fantastic service from Pete and Stag Arms. Today I ordered two more complete uppers from Pete. One Stag and one RRA.
It will be a while before I see the RRA, but I won't be surprised if the Stag shows up earlier than Pete estimates. I've got some good dealers in my area that I also deal with, but they can't beat Pete's deals. You won't regret your purchase with Legal Transfers. Disclaimer: I am not connected with Legal Transfers in any way other than being a new loyal customer. |
