Hi guys: I was given a flat top stripped upper. The issue is that there's no manufacturer's marks on it ANYWHERE (I've even taken a scope to the inside). My question for the experts is: does it matter what bolt carrier and bolt I put in the upper? There are a myriad of manufacturers and honestly I'm kind of lost. Thanks sincerely in advance! |

Quoted: Nope go for whatever. I would go with either a LMT or BCM bolt carrier group though. The seem to be about the best. +1. BCM's are what I primarily use, though I would use an LMT as well. I've used CMT/Stag and they were fine, but I didn't like how the carrier key was staked in them. I also have a mutt gun that uses an Armalite bolt and have no problems with it. |
