here is my first build and I hope that I picked out the right parts.
14.5 Bushy heavy barrel w / perm attached YHM Phantom
Bushy flat top upper
Young national match chrome bolt assembly
Mega Gator lower with DPMS parts kit.
cheapo 6 position collapsible stock.
Midwest forearm w/ vertical grip
Aimpiont M2
Flip up iron backup.

I know I need a better stock but that will have to wait until I have more funds.
Suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
Stal

interesting choices of parts in some cases, i.e. NM bolt with short barrel, but nothing 'wrong'.

there's a lot of cheap stocks putting a lot of expensive ammo through a lot of carbines out there :)

1. are you happy
2. do it work
3. do you still gotz enough scratch to buy lotza ammo
4. put on mark per zombie on the stock tube

I made that last part up, but YOU rate your build.

good job

I chose the Mega lower because of the emblem. I'm not to fond of the derr head of the Stag. I am also looking at the VLTOR M4 stock.

Sinnce all my parts are new do I need to have a smith check the head space?

With new parts headspace is usually correct but it is not a bad thing to have it checked. You can also get your own headspace gauges and do it yourself. That way you will already have them for that next several builds. If it was pre-assembled by Bushy and came with the bolt from them I wouldn't worry about it as Bushmaster has already checked it.

Never ask such a question without posting PICS!  MAJOR rule violation - shame on you.

Post-up and you'll get 10x the input.

Anyways if you're happy with your rifle - then I am too..
