I think i was going to start my build with this lower
"Defender Lower with SOPMOD Stock, Two Stage Trigger and Ambi Selector

Complete lower receiver which includes: Semi Auto 2Stage Trigger, SOPMOD Buttstock, Ambi Selector and Ergo Pistol Grip."

opinions welcome please having a hard time deciding on stocks, i dont want any play or rattle out of butt stock.  I like the magpul grip kit also.

Is this kit worth 538. or should i go with this one
Complete lower receiver which includes: Semi Auto 2Stage Trigger, Collapsing Buttstock and Ergo Pistol Grip.

item # L7H2 Price: $404.00 each

then i want to go with a BCM upper middy flat top

need recomendations on flip up rear sights, if i should get a low profile gas block with a flip up front sight or not?  And recommendations on 9 in 4 rails.  DD, Larue, etc

i do plan on going with eotech red dot and 4x magnifier but not at first need to recoup from initial build.  If i dont get a low profile gas block will the standard front sights be in the way for my optics?

thanks again guys for all info.  I just keep researching and find something that makes me change my mind every other thread.  lol

I was probably going to order through G&r tactical if any other suggestions please advise.

also is it that beneficial to get a 2 stage trigger.  because i like this package also for a lower

LMT Lower w/Single Stage Trigger
CMT buffer spring
LMT H buffer
Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard
Magpul MIAD (basic)
Magpul UBR

Price $530

Pricey!

I'd go with something basic to start, then work your way up.

For example, a standard lower with a Magpul CTR would be ~$300. No 2 stage, but you can add that later.

The upper, you've made a good choice. Stick with it.

Rear sight, Troy is good (great).

I'd agree.  A CTR is a great choice for a stock.  The friction lock snugs it up tight.  It gives a decent cheek weld as well.

The trigger would depend on what the rifle will be used for.  I have a RRA two stage in one rifle and a standard trigger in another.  I'd lean tword the 2 stage on a rifle that will see more precision shotting and the standard on one that will be more genral purpose.  You can get various spring rates for the fire control group from Brownells so you can get the trigger weight you desire.

RRA 9mm buffer is a lot cheaper and very effective as well.
