I've got the small side of the pins even with the hole, but the big side is sticking out a tad.  Just can't seem to get em to go in that last little bit.  Advice?

Are you using a press?  An arbor press will do it, a hydraulic press will do it.

If you're doing it on your work bench....bigger hammer.

I wish I had a press.  Can you get one at Home Depot?  Northern Tool?  How much do they run?

I did buy a bigger hammer today.

Don't force them in too deep or you will never get them out again.  A punch and a few moderate taps with a medium weight hammer is plenty to secure the FSB.  Nothing says how far in they need to be.  When they are snug then stop.

A nail set works great for setting FSB taper pins. The concave face of the nail set stays put on the taper pin, and prevents mushrooming of the pin head.

Good point, they're plenty tight and it aint going nowhere.  I'm stopping here.  Thanks to all.

Quib, thanks for the tip.  I did pick up a 3pc nail set($4.96) from Home Depot and it works great.
