I can get a stripped High Standard upper for $85 with M4 cuts new. Any reason I should shy away from this brand? Thanks! |

There was talk that they were cast or one-offs from some mfgr. I talked to a HS rep a while back and all their ARs are made from forged uppers and lowers. He was not 100% certain who was doing the forgings for them at this time. honestly, I have not seen them first hand, so, I can't speak to the quality. |
| Got the High Standard upper yesterday. Upper is truly black so it does not exactly match my Bushy parts but I am OK with it and it may lighten up a little. Fitted my 16" Bushy Hbar last night and took it to the range today. I was amazed at how everything lined up well. Rear sight was dead center left to right and I only had to raise the front sight one turn to hit POA at 100 yards. I vote yes for the High Standard upper! |
