I'm considering a build and I would like to buy a good bcg.  The two I'm looking at are:

Chrome BCG from Young Mfg as seen here, http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=1011, and

BCM bcg from Bravo Company...

Is one better than the other? I've read that the BCM is really great.  Also, without discussing legal ramifications, what are the functional advantages of a full auto bcg vs. a semi-auto bcg?

Thanks in advance!

The chrome bcg will be slightly easier to clean and will have more inherent lubricity.

The full auto carrier if i'm not mixed up has less mass so it doesn't require as much pressure to cycle the gun, this will make the gun cycle better with light loads versus the required inertia to drive the heavier bcg.

Either one will be fine, it comes down to personal preference and wallet size.

I like BCM.  I have it in two of my builds and it functions great.  No experience with the other one.

Would it be illegal to have a full auto BCG in a semi-auto non class 3 gun?  I would think not bein that it is the selector and or disconnect that makes the difference not the BCG.  Am I wrong anyone know for sure?

The M16 BCG has more mass, and helps in the dwell timing vrs. Semi. Correct me if wrong.

Full auto BCGs are legal as long as you don't have other M16 parts in the gun.

Full auto BCGs add mass and delay the unlocking of the bolt.

Chrome BCGs are easier to clean.

BCM BCGs are very high quality.

Young NM BCGs are very high quality.
