I asked this in the OPTICS section a few weeks ago with no replies. I guess I will try it here. ### I just finished one and have a second upper in the pipeline. The first is a cheapie Blackthorne I got used, actually never fired but a bargain anyway. I put a MaTech on it for BUIS. I have an Aimpoint wannabe I put on a YHM 5 notch 45 degree mount. For the second project, I will go with a MaTech again as I already have a new one in the parts box. I also got a bargain on one of the Sig 556 Holosights. I am guessing I will need a see through riser to get the Holosight clear of the FSB??? Or how do I mount the Sig Holo and the BUIS for use???? Things were so much easier when I started this and all they had was A1s uppers. After 35 years with the A1 and 2 uppers topped with iron sights and an occasional Colt 4x, It is tough on an old guy working with these new fangled contraptions. |
