Have read that A1 upper receiver is lighter then the A2.

Any truth to this?  Note-This is without the barrel, just hte A1 upper reciver with sights installed compared to the a2 upper receiver with sights installed.

Probably as the A1 sight has fewer parts - suspect we are talking a miniscule amount of weight saving though.....

It only makes since being that the A1 lacks the A2 sight and the brass bump that it will be lighter by a few grams.

And to put that into perspective, there are 28 grams in an ounce.
