Its alive...ALIVE! Finaly finished my coyote killer. 24" barrel, .204 Ruger, Stag lower, RRA upper, and a Leopold 3x9x50. I haven't fired it yet but can't wait to.

BTW, I bought the Yankee Hill extended takedown pins because the rubber wedge inside the lower (which I widdled down with a razor blade) makes it a bitch to pull out. Any suggestions?

Nice build.

Now hope it shoots as good as it looks as your good to go.

How do you like the collapsable stock?  I am getting ready to do a very similar build and can't decide on which type of stock I will use.

I bought the stock in a pinch at a gun show. I haven't fired this thing yet because I just got the scope today. I.M.O. Most on this forum would probably replace it with a sopmod or something I guess...

Varmit,

Very nice project. I am trying to decide if I want to buy a complete RRA Varmit or if I want to try a build. Did you use a build sheet of some type to get all the parts together? My local shop wants around $920 for the RAA Coyote model, which looks like it's not a bad price. How much can I save on building it myself? It looks like you used quality parts, and your rifle has the look I want for my Coyote/Varmit rifle.

Thanks,
Elk

I did not use a build sheet, just this forum. It's much easier than I thought it would be. I don't know how much you can save, but I know I can save a lot more if I had to do it again!
