Hello All, Here are my three latest builds with my own camo done on two of them. The Multi-cam was the biggest pain in the arse but definitely rewarding. I don't care for the colors that usually are used so I used a variant on the color scheme. I think it turned out ok. I have two more builds in the works and will post photos when I get those done. Thanks to this site I was able to do all of the work on my own and use the Green scheme gun on an advanced tactical course and it worked flawlessly. Thanks again. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2052/2522769353_14d3300cd8.jpg?v=0 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2317/2523584334_a7a58b5e20.jpg?v=0 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2134/2522754327_1d78503d45.jpg?v=0 And My M1a for good measure. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3130/2522771597_771b70831c.jpg?v=0 |

Close ups as requested. You can tell it is not a pro job - but not bad for a home job if I don't say so myself. Duracoat is kind of a pain to work with. The molycoat has to be baked but as far as toughness they are both great quality. I didn't duracoat the barrels as they tend to burn with high rate of fire. The molycoat smells when hot but it is rated for higher heat temps. I also used the following writeup for the duracoat and the broomstick technique found in the refinishing section under armory. Thanks for the comments. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2137/2524511680_9513314e5c.jpg?v=0 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2212/2523686337_d0f113e1c2.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3019/2524508136_f93e132328.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3055/2523682823_d359284ddd.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/2524505728_0199963d5c.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3084/2523677843_ec51c0cec7.jpg?v=0 Multi-cam thread http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=71788 |
