I am looking at the Stag 2HT upper and the lower with magpul stock at JTAC supply. Pardon my ignorance but what are the chances that there will be problems ( not lining up correctly )? I would not be saving a lot ( close to the same cost as the entire rifle from another vender ) but would save me the cost of upgrading the stock and grip. Would it be worth it if I just buy the complete rifle and add the magpul stock and grip? TIA! |

Follow your first plan... The upper and lower should fit fine. It's normal for a newly mated pair to be a bit tight, but this is normal and desirable if you ask me. If you can pick up one of those plastic takedown pin punches it might save you some aggravation if they are initially tight. I bought a CTR stock and some parts at a guns show today and the guy gave me one of those punches. They are a godsend! Why buy the complete rifle and then upgrade the stock if you can buy exactly what you need for the same money? |
