Okay this is 2 parts
First im trying to build a 7.62 ar. i want to free float the barrel. ive been lookin around and i want the 2 piece free float but money is tight. that said, would it be possible to modify a utg rifle length rail to free float the barrel? any one done it or have any ideas?

also a buddy of mine wants to put a fh on his barrel prbolem is the brl threads are a mm or so smaller than the fh and it is easily wiggled of. he asked me about jb weld and i told him i just didnt know. so what say the arfcom on these matters? pics later to come.

No to both questions.

Try to sell the UTG's and put the money toward a full floating rail system.

Do not JBweld a Flash Suppresor on... seriously, your friend really is considerring this?  A2 Flash suppressors are like .. $7. Get the correct thread pitch on the flash suppresor and it will screw right on.  Every 5.56 AR15 barrel I've seen is 1/2 x 28.
