I need to remove the bolt catch on a new ar lower and therefore the pin needs to be removed. Is the pin designed to be punched one way or another (from front to back or back to front)? I ask because it seems to be in there very tight. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance |
| They are tight but it is just a roll pin. If you look at both sides one end will not be pushed in as far, put your punch in from that end and drive it out. I think most pins seem to be pushed from the butt stock end towards the barrel therefore push from the barrel end out towards the butt stock. Again this is most lowers. Hope I did not confuse you. |
