Hi all -

Anyone else have any problems with fit on either one of these?  I'm putting together a pistol using a M-1 S LPK and Mega lower, and the safety detent didn't fit.  I'm not sure if it was the fault of the Mega lower, or the LPK, or both.  They're sending another detent, so hopefully that will work.

I did swap detents with my other AR, which has an eagle arms lower.  The M-1 S detent fir the EA lower, and I was able to use that detent in the Mega lower, so disaster was averted.....

Thanks!

I have used 2 mega's and 2 RRA LPK's.  The first one had no snags.  The second one had a problem with the safety detent just like your's did.  It was damn near impossible to flip the safety selector, so I tore it town again and the detent was pretty stuck.  I eventually got it out, polished the outside of the detent a little, used a drill bit (BY HAND) in the receiver's hole and - now it is perfectly fine.  There may have been a burr in the hole.  Many people recommend chasing all the holes with an appropriately-sized drill bit - WITH YOUR FINGERS ONLY - before assembly just to be safe...
I will not hesitate to use RRA lpk's or Mega lowers again - Mega's are my favorite lower.

happened to me on a POF lower and a del-ton LPK.  seems like it is a bad batch of safety detents.  I shaved the side of the detent down using a dremel tool works just fine but what a pain!!!

Let me know if you don't get it figured out.  I think I have some spare detents around the office.  I've also got some RRA parts kits on the way.  BTW, the AAC suppressors should be here in the next week or two.

I've had the same problem guess I'll try and order another LPK as I can't remember who Iordered it from and when as it  was a while ago.

Yup.  Same issue with a WOA LPK and the Mega lower.   I polished up the detent with a bit of 1200 grit paper and voila, fits fine.

Same issues with Model-1 detent and LAR Grizzly lower: safety level would not budge. Ended up chucking it and utilized a detent from a DPMS kit, which worked perfectly.
