On my last build I went with a Stag lower parts kit.  This time I’m thinking about CMMG, as the price is a little lower.

Anybody have any experience with CMMG’s lower parts kit?

Thanks.

I just used one on my Spikes lower and everything went together as it should. No tool marks on the fcg like some of the other brands I have seen. Has a pretty decent trigger too. AIM has them for $56 plus .01 for shipping.

I have found that RRA lpk is pretty good.  After smearing some moly grease/clp and running a few mags through for break in, I dont even need to stone any of the parts - generally a fairly decent trigger with a good break.

I built off of one of the CMMG LPK for AIM recently.

AIM was great...can't beat $0.01 shipping!

I only had one problem with the trigger guard being slightly out of spec.  The roll pin did not want to go through it, so I had to drill it out myself.  Wasn't really a big deal, but that part DID seem to be kind of cheaply made.  I am very satisfied with the rest of the parts though.

Worst comes to worse, but another trigger guard and you still come out ahead.

I built my own lower using a CMMG stripped lower and a CMMG lpk and they went together great once I was done being a dumbass. Haven't gotten to fire it yet as I'm going to pick up the upper tomorrow I'll let ya know how it works out
