Alright I got a couple more questions and then I think that will be it and ill be ready to order my rifle....
Are the A2 gas blocks removable? if not what can i do to have no front sights ( since im putting on a scope )  If I got a railed gas block, probly a single rail?? I wouldn't have any front sights but could add a removable front  and a removable rear sight onto the Flat top correct?
Since this is going to be a hunting/bench shooting rifle.... Will the M4 barrel lose any accuracy or is the M4 barrel basically a weight saving deal?

So this is what im looking at getting right now depending on what you folks have to say
Delton 16" M4
DTI 16" barrel
Carbine handgaurd with heat shields
standard bolt and carrier
Magpul CTR rear stock
A2 flash hider
gasblock?? standard A2 depending on what yall say
Ergo black Sure grip
standard lower parts ( possible upgrade trigger later )
Badger tach latch since I hear it will be easier to pull since ill have a scope ( easier to get to)
Flat Top upper with T-marks

What do you guys think for my first rifle?????  Im up for any comments and suggestions
Thanks
You guys have been a big help to me.

Oh yea for a lower im thinking DPMS or double star I havn't talked to me "local" FFL yet

you can remove the gas block and put on a railed one if you would like, but it may be better to order one with the railed gas block. With a scope, you don't notice the front sight because the magnification kind of blurs the FSB and it disappears.

M4 may be less accurate than other barrels, say an HBAR or Bull Barrel, but probably not noticable up to 200+ yards. I wouldn't worry about it if you plan to carry it for a long time to hunt. If you just carry it for short periods of time and then sit down to hunt, heavier barrels would be just as good, probably with a slight accuracy advantage over the M4.

For hunting and bench shooting, I might suggest the Magpul PRS stock instead of the CTR stock if the price isn't out of your range.

Really good lower choices, I would take a look at Anvil Arms too. They have a sale right now and they look great with a nice logo on it. If they keep the sale going, I plan to get one or two myself.

Your setup sounds fine to me. Two observations: 1.) don't worry about the standard front sight being in front of the scope - with a 3X I see only the vaguest blurry greyness that doesn't interfere with sighting through the scope at all, and at 4.5X and above I don't see the front sight at all and 2.) well, I was going to say don't bother with the Badger charging handle latch just yet as I've yet to have a problem on a scoped AR, but then different people mount scopes differently and I may be the oddball.

The magpul PRS is getting a little steep for more on this build... If you could explain the difference in the two stocks and why the CTR isn't good for hunting and shoot?

Does anyone know the weight difference in the M4 barrel and the heavy barrel, I will probly go with a midlength setup if i go heavy barrel.

Ill scratch the latch for now It should be an easier add on later it I need it....

Thanks again

The CTR is fine, I only suggested the PRS because it is designed for precision shooting (according to the about section on Del-Ton's site). It offers a little more adjustability, but it is pricey; so don't worry about it.

The HBAR middy is .4 lbs heavier than the M4 according to an email from Del-Ton when I asked last year.

I looked at that PRS stock and I have a question....  What are all the adjustments on that stock?  I see theres two turn dials on it for adjustments but what do they do????  Any other adjustments on it?  That stock does look sweet lol.

I found the specs on the stock, I don't know if it would be worth it, for 1inch in length and .75 inch up and down.... and its 1.7765lbs heavier than the CTR.  For just hunting and bench shoot at 100yards I don't think its worth 3times the money for me.  Now if I was doing the 600yard shoots then it probly would be worth the extra to be able to fine tune it.    I just got my refund check in the mail today so ill be ordering the gun here in a few days, still trying to decide a middy or carbine stock then its ready for order.
