What make of Uppers are they using?

I bought an A1 upper with a lightweight 16 inch barrel from them a couple years back.

If I recall correctly they told me that they use FN contract uppers, but I am not sure if that is the case.

Also:  Are they using E.R. Shaw barrels?

Thanks in advance to anyone with some info.

Taken directly from email response "Our barrels are made by ER Shaw and the receivers are made for Doublestar by a US military contractor." Just got my 1st kit from them yesterday, everything in order plus few extra fly away springs.

Thanks for the quick response.

Is there a manufacturer code stamp on your upper anywhere?  Mine is below the rear sight, on the recessed portion of the carry handle.

Could you describe it to me?

Thanks

I found that the 'splintered A' actually an A over an H is the forge marking of Anchor Harvey, in Illinois.

This contradicts what I have found here:

http://www.biggerhammer.net/ar15/uppers/

Which suggested that 'splintered A' marked uppers were manufactured by Olympic.  This did not sit well with me, but it seems it might be faulty data.

Does anyone know if the Colt Harvey forgings were made by Anchor Harvey?
