[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pin Sizes?????????????

It is probably on here someplace, but I'm going to ask the question anyway because I cannot find it. Concerning Ar10 and Ar15 pin diameters isn't there some variations in the pin sizes. I would like to know if it is just the pivot/take down pins or the pins that go thru the fire control group too. Primarily I'm concerned with the differences between Colt, Bushmaster, Armalite, and RRA.

Colt has the only variances, larger FCG pins and some colts have the large front takedown pin.

Thanks for the info. I know there are some differences but didn't know the full details. It sounds like you have to use Colt upper receivers on Colt Lowers.

you can use a large hole colt upper on small hole lowers... blackrifleworks.com sells bushings for 4.95 a piece
