I'm looking to build an AR. Can you build an upper (with new parts, not waiting on deals here and there) cheaper than just buying a complete one? I have built several weapons(HK's & 1911's)so complexity really isn't an issue. Any help would be great, I'm going to "pull the trigger" on this one way or another in the morning. Thanks

I doubt you would save much money at all. The main reason I build is so I can have exactly the parts and setup I want without having extra parts. Compared to buying complete and changing out parts for upgrades.

No you won't, trust me, I've been on EE for months now trying to score a good deal with a complete upper, and keep on getting beaten to it because the good deals get bought up within MINUTES.

That's kind of what I figured. I got my complete LMT upper today from Dennys. I hope it will be a good one. Thanks for the help.
