Hello, I'm new to the forum here and have a question. I have a Colt CAR-A3 HBAR ELITE. I want to buy a DPMS .204 Ruger upper and use on my Colt lower. Are there any glitches I can expect to run into? I am aware that the pivot pin can possibly be a different size between the two but I think there are ways around that. Any info. is appreciated. |
You should be fine. Check your Colt to make sure the front pivot pin is .250 in diameter, If not you will need the pin to adapt a large pin lower to a small pin upper. All DPMS A-15 rifles (5.56 NATO, .223 Rem, .204 Ruger, 6.8SPC, and 7.62x39) use the same lower if I remember correctly. |
