During a tragic accident my friends sight bas was broken. I have another sight base the problem is, of course the pin holes don't match up with the ones on the barrel. Do you guys have any ways of remounting a front sight base onto a sag arms barrel?

Drill and tap a set screw in the bottom, have a flat cut on the barrel for the screw.

drill and tap the front sight base on the bottom. then fit it on the barrel and mark the hole on the barrel so you know where to put the flat for the set screw.

The holes on each side are going to be a different side because of the taper pins that hold it together.

If you can drill through and make them all the same size, tap and use set screws, great!

I've done this a few times and then just felt that purchasing a new FSB with this already done is the way to go.

while $35 is steep, the work is done and it looks NEW and not TOOLED around with.

I've had great luck with them.

ETA: If you decide to tap it yourself, go to ACE hardware and get the drill bit\tap and set screws in one trip.

The set screw method is how most of the UK AR FSB's are mounted.

Yes, these are nice units, I'm waiting on a second one from Armalite

I have also used three different models from Yankee Hill, again these are first class as well.
