| I was using my new barrel blocks and doing abarrel install. The new upper I have is a CMT flat top..the barrel nut was snug from the get go and I had to use the wrench to turn it on from begining to end.Its not cross threaded its just real snug..any ideas on what the problem may be..nut or threads? |
try another barrel nut, i had a similar issue on an upper i help my friend put together. also as QUIB said, make sure you have it greased |

So from the time of my last post I changed out the nut and re-greased..this is how the 1 1/2 hour ordeal unfolded...I was moving right along until re assembly and I realize I didnt put the new nut on..no nut at all..so now I have to heat the FSB because I red loc tited the taper pins and now 3 times as hard to get em to move...but job completed and the new nut threads real nice..thanks guys |
