| will a busmaster upper+ dpms lower work? i was told the dpms wont fit from a local gun store wich i assume is total BS |
As youve probably figured out, thats the beauty of a modular system like the AR. You can pretty much take anyones upper and lower and they will fit. AR parts ( in particular the uppers and lowers ) are machined to a standard dimension that pretty much all makers use. Dimensions are always plus or minus so much from the mean, but as long as it was machined to spec by any reputable machine shop ( and yes, those two are ), they will fit. The only difference might be cosmetic as noted earlier with some finishes being darker than others and to a lesser degree, the roughness or texture of the finish itself. Again, purely cosmetic differences at the worst.
