I just purchased the CMP type free float hand guard system (RRA) from Brownells.  I plan to install it on a 20" barreled Double Star upper.  The package came w/o a gas tube to fit in the new system.  My existing tube has a bend in it just forward of the receiver that I will need to alter and I will need to make a bend out towards the FSB to clear the opening in the free float tube.  Are there any trade tricks or special tools to help accomplish this w/o kinking or ruining the existing tube?  Thanks in advance.

Maybe get some coated electrical wire that just barely fits inside.  Push it in past the bend point and go to town.  Then just tug it out.  When you are all done, slide the BCG back in and make sure the gas tube is aligning smoothly with the gas key on the BCG.

You will most likely have to use a rolling wheel or something similar. Guys with fab experience can probably be more specific.

Can you link to the product...most of the tubes completely clear the gas tube, the ones that I have used anyway.
