I am planning on removing the front post sight and handguard from my RRA Entry Tactical and replacing them with a 13.2" LaRue Tactical quadrail and low profile gas block. However, when looking at my AR, I can't seem to understand how the front post sight assembly comes off. Please shed some light on my situation and provide pictures if possible. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The sight base is "pinned" through the barrel with two tapered pins. With the barrel/base supported (a piece of wood works fine) the TAPERED pins are removed, using a large punch and stout hammer, some are really tight. TAPERED means two things, one, the pin will fall out after very little movement, and two, you MUST drive the pin from the small end, usually the left hand side when the rifle is viewed from the rear, or firing position. Anyway, inspect the exposed ends of the pins and work on the small ends.

Thanks a lot. That is exactly what I needed to know. You have been a tremendous help.
