A few things I'm trying to find. Does anyone make a magazine release button that doesn't have the concentric circle motif? I'd really prefer something with straight line serrations, to match the bolt release (and I'm getting a teardrop forward assist, too). If I have to file grooves into one myself, is it possible to put the thing in backwards, so the "bottom" sticks out instead? Then I wouldn't have to grind off the circles, first. I'm trying to get as close to the rifle buffer system as possible, while using a CAR stock. What's the difference between an H3 and 9mm buffer? They're apparently within 0.2 ounces and 0.05" of each other. How do CAR and AR length springs compare in weight? I've heard the CAR springs are heavier, but by how much? Wolff gunsprings wasn't any help, as weight is not one of the manufacturing specs, but it wouldn't take a genius to pull the handles on a CAR and AR side by side to compare. Would I need to use a reduced weight spring (reduced by 15%, according to Wolff), or maybe a regular fixed stock spring with 5 coils clipped? This'll be on a 16" upper with midlength gas system. Does anyone make regular semi-auto receivers with full auto markings? Superior makes safe-fire-auto, and a couple places make ones with H&K style pictograms (for the illiterate mall ninja in your life), but I sorta want one with actual safe-semi-auto markings. Mostly because I think it'd be really funny, and also it'd look better. Safe-fire lowers just look like something's "missing." On legality, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to see that the extra pin hole is missing, and the safety won't move to the third position (unless you push real hard). Are there any flashlight mounts that use the vent holes on a standard two-piece foregrip? I don't want anything else on there, so might as well cut out the middleman and attach the flashlight directly, rather than using a rail. I think that's about it. All I can think of right now. |
