I am doing a 9 MM build and have a complete lower and a mag block on its way.
I have to removethe bolt catch lever in order to permanatly install the block.
Could you guys give me some pointers on how to do this , I am a little concerned about scratching the heck out of the lower, is the spring going to fly out?The block is a
Hahan ,Dedicated type that is made to not be removed, thanks for the help..

I use a small punch and a hammer to tap out the roll pin for the bolt catch. The spring won't jump out. Its fairly easy to do.

If you have the correct sized brass punch as suggested above, the job is easy. I gently clamp the lower in a padded vise to keep it steady. I actually have a dedicated punch for this that I bent a little for proper alignment.
