Who makes the best lower parts kit? I don't need a but stock because this is going for a pistol but I want to know who has the better parts and where to get them cheapest. Thanks guys!

P.S. I did a search but didn't find any topics with Best LPK or Best Lower Parts Kit

Do a search, but don't use the word 'best', just lpk or lower parts kit. I found plenty. Just like lowers or anything else, opinions on the best are going to be what that person uses themselves. I have RRA's ($58) in all but one of mine. Does that mean they are the best, no. They are what I'm happy using.

i have had great luck with double star and cmt kits, i've used 9 DS kits and they come with extra springs the cmt was very good also, the roll pins where the only difference that i could see

Happy with the CMT (Stag) lower parts kit.  $65

DPMS are cheaper, but some folks don't care for them.  $59

It's CMT/Stag and RRA LPKs for me.

You can find them in the EE under "AR15 Parts - New - Lower Receiver"

GTS sells a CMT LPK for $68 with free shipping.

Have settled on CMT/Stag as my basline standard for Ar parts and assemblies; there's better and worse.

but what makes them better and worse and which are better and worse and why are they better and worse. That's the root of my dilemma...

I've used the Double Star kits and really like them for the fact they give you extra springs. They come in very handy.

DPMS from Brownells for $44.  You get a rounded hammer instead of a notched one.  I've put these LPK's in several rifles and I have also used several RRA LPK and can't tell any difference in the way they go together.  Both fit in the lowers with no problems.

I only use RRA lpk's - they have the real roll pins - easier to work with than the one coil pins in some of the other makers parts kits.

This is from my experience - of course YMMV
