I actually put together two complete lowers. Haven't decided on an upper for the second one yet. I found the Yankee Hill Machine (YHM) riser that I wanted today at our local gunshow. $15 cheaper than YHM lists them on their website. I thought it might be a knock-off but the quality seems as good as YHM. It does carry the YHM logo so I guess I just got a good deal. I was pleased to find that the inexpensive Tasco Red-Dot does index with the front site when mounted on this riser.  The next project is to finish modifying the one side of my two gun Americase to hold this gun. Actually a shotgun case designed to hold two break action shotguns I was pleasantly surprised to find that this gun will fit on one side fully assembled. So I can put my hunting side by side shotgun and this gun in one airline legal case. |
Congrats on your newly born AR! It came out really nice.
Thanks. The only thing I think I'll change is to put green handguards on it. It has been 'together' long enough to have about 7-800 rounds through it and so far, not one problem. |
