J&T Upper + Lower Question > Build It Yourself

Hi im about to purchase a J&T complete upper and would like to know what lower goes best with this upper (fit/Color). This is going to be my first build but my second ar, I saw a post the other day about color matching better with some lower/upper combos but I can’t seem to find it again after searching through 8 pages and trying to use the search function. Thanks for any help

I just put a new JT upper on a new DoubleStar lower. They match PERFECT. But that's probably because JT and DoubleStar are affiliated. I'm very pleased with both!

My J&T upper did not fit my RRA lower. I had to file the upper's rear lug on both sides for it to close. It is a tight fit now so maybe that's good.

Thanks for the reply. I was planing on getting a Double Star Lower.

I have a J&T on a DPMS stripped lower, looks like a fine match.

I too, was looking for that thread about upper and lower matches.

If anyone could point us in the right direction, that would be much appreciated. (not trying to hijack here)

If your buying your lower locally to avoid transfer fee, and will have uppper in hand, I'm sure you could compare color match, at the dealer.

As far as fit, that's another story.

Luckily I got Dennys/GTS right down the street. They've got some pretty good deals.
