Just bought a two piece rail system to replace my CAR handguard.  Not free floating.

"Simply remove the handguard and put the two piece rail system on." is what the directions say.  The "simply remove" part is what troubles me.  I have really tried to get the delta ring back far enough to remove the CAR handguards, but the spring won't compress enough to free the handguard.  Am I being a wimp or is there more to it than the "simply remove" part implies?  Is this a two person job?

Help!

Pull the delta ring real hard at an angle 'til one half or the other is able to be pulled out or have someond hold the rifle for you while you push down on the delta ring or the quickest & easiest way to remove them is to buy a handguard removal tool like this.

I tried this tonight and it worked!  I'd love to get the tool, but the shipping is almost as much as the tool.  Brute strength - rather not being wimpy about it - worked beautifully.  Thanks again for the tip.
