Guys...was thumbing through Sweeney's book on the AR-15 the other day at a bookstore. One of the pages had a sight installation jig that mechanically lined up the front sight with the rear carry handle/sight. Looked like some square maybe aluminum stock or something that allowed the gunsmith/assembler to square everything up. None of the usual gunsmithing tool vendors seem to have it.

Any suggestions???

Use drill rod turned to fit within the slot on the carry handle, one end flat and the other turned to a point. You'll need a different one for each length of gas system. Check them periodicaly on a surface block for true.
