I was looking for a thread on how to remove a standard A2 birdcage and replace it w/ another flash suppressor(Phantom), but couldn't find it in the tacked threads or search. Could anyone direct me to it. Thanks for your help.

Not to be a smartass but can't you just use a wrench? Is it permanently attached?
Edit- You're going to need a new crash washer also

He's tried that already. No success. Wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. No special tricks or anything.

Unless the thing is permanently attached then there are no tricks. It's simply held on by the tension of the locking washer, probably a cursh washer, and right hand threads.
Immobalize the barrel and turn the wrench to the left. Righty - tighty, lefty - loosey.

HAHAHA. Thanks guys. Yeah I got it (righty tighty, etc.) He's just having a hard time getting it to break loose. Thanks for all the help.
