I just built an upper with a Bushmaster superlight 16" barrel and a PRI FatBoy Gas Tube. It seems that there is not enough gas pressure to cycle the action and the bolt/carrier short strokes. After firing, it ejects the original chambered round and fails to go far enough back to pick up the next round. After shooting about 100 rounds, it will sometimes pick up a 2nd or 3rd round and then fail (short stroke the next round) Is the gas port different in the ultralight barrel? This doesn't happen with any other Bushmaster barrel I own (with a Fat Boy), be it 11.5, 14.5 or 16". Thanks for the help. |
