Just looking for some thoughts, comments on my first AR and "build".  After doing some reading and not really finding what I wanted offered I decided to build myself.
Just a simple no frills and do-dads AR for the first one.

Lower: Mega Gator
LPK: RRA
Stock: RRA
Grip: Hogue
Upper: Stag 16" Carbine from BCM w/ BCG and MI BUIS

I wanted to do a middy at first, but decided to keep it fairly simple and enjoy it.  I'll probably get another upper, or build one (depending) in a short amount of time anyways.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Mega Lower
RRA LPK
RRA A2 stock
DPMS Ambi safety
Full MIAD

If I remember I'll get a pic up tomarrow.

Sounds like a solid build to me. I would recommend a mil-spec buffer instead of RRA though. It is compatable with all types of stocks, instead of just those desgned for the commercial market.

What would you suggest?  A friend of mine was talking about that yesterday, but I wasn't understanding what he's saying....or listening well enough.

I finally finished the build, though some things changed.  I'll have pics up tomorrow sometime, either before or after the range.

Mega Gator Lower
RRA Parts kit Hogue grip
LMT Buffer
Magpul CTR stock
Stag M4 Upper from BCM w/ BCG and Charging handle
MI BUIS

It was a fun build for sure, though using a punch for the bolt catch was a bit of a pain.

Now its on to finding some sort of optic, not sure what yet.
