I have a Bushmaster ORC and I'm interested in upgrading the factory installed muzzle brake with a DNTC compensator. Does anyone know how to remove the factory installed suppressor (it appears to be pinned and screwed on)he Any advice is greatly appreciated. |
You probably have a post ban Bushmaster with a Izzy muzzle brake, at the top of this page is a section on "How to build", on there it shows you how to remove the brake, and install a new one... |
Thanks, I found the post on this page: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782 (about 3/4 of the way down the page) |
Yeah, kind'a suckshinking.gif |
In NY, you WILL need to have the DTNC comp pinned into place unless you have a pre-ban rifle. I don't know NY laws, but I know that I pin on a lot of muzzle brakes for NY folks because they are NOT allowed to have threaded barrels. Bushmaster pins their muzzle devices with two pins, one from each side. ![]() I do permanent attach jobs like this:
