I have a Bushmaster ORC and I'm interested in upgrading the factory installed muzzle brake with a DNTC compensator.

Does anyone know how to remove the factory installed suppressor (it appears to be pinned and screwed on)he

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Not familiar with the Bushmaster, but it wouldn't be odd for them to pin a FS on a 16 inch barrel?

You probably have a post ban Bushmaster with a Izzy muzzle brake, at the top of this page is a section on "How to build", on there it shows you how to remove the brake, and install a new one...

I've seen a few Bushmasters pinned when they don't really have to be...

Also, will I need to pin the DNTC comp

In NY, you WILL need to have the DTNC comp pinned into place unless you have a pre-ban rifle.
I don't know NY laws, but I know that I pin on a lot of muzzle brakes for NY folks because they are NOT allowed to have threaded barrels.

Bushmaster pins their muzzle devices with two pins, one from each side.

I do permanent attach jobs like this:

That's an auto-reply.

I can vouch for Randalls work.  He recently removed a perm-attached muzzle break for me.  Good work, fast turn-around and fair prices.
