Well here it goes! I visited Denny @ Denny's Guns/GTS this morning to get some parts for my build, so now I actually have something more to show off than just my lower. I know many of you will never have the opportunity to talk to this guy in person, but he is definitely a class act. Don't ever hesitate buying any parts from him. I actually was able to handle the new ARMOR-TECH finish on one of his Recon barrels and try and scratch the hell out of it. I was even more impressed with the "finish" after handling it. At any rate here are some pictures and the specs for my rifle.

Rifle specs:

Denny's Guns SS Recon Barrel with ARMOR-TECH finish.
CMT Upper
YHM 9.0 Free Float Forearm
YHM 5C2 Flash Suppressor
Denny's Super Duty Bolt Carrier Group
MagPul MIAD Grip
MagPul CTR Stock
ARMS 40L BUIS
YHM Flip Up BUIS gas block
RRA US Property Lower w/ NM FCG.

alright, I have an update finally for this thread. Denny just sent me my Recon with the IonBond finish along with the upper and charging handle and gas tube. I got everything screwed together and found out that the gas tube was the wrong size. I already called Denny and he's sending me out a new one. At any rate here is a crappy cell phone picture. My good camera is in for warranty work. And yes, the gas block is just sitting on there it's not tightened dwon.

Haha yeah... I already know that the extra BCG and carbine gas tube are gonna turn into a SBR as soon as Denny gets his VCQB barrels and Matched upper and lower receivers in IonBond inside and out.

Crayola's are addictive too [!

Hmm I got to looking at this barrel and I seem to actually have the SPR-M that Denny sells. That kinda explains why the gas block is so far forward and the midlength gas tube that Denny sent me didn't fit. In all my excitement when I first put everything together I thought that Denny had sent me a carbine gas tube. If I would have taken the time to look at it more closely it would have come to me that the carbine tube would have been approx 2 inches shorter and completely hidden by my forearm. Haha oh well, I just left a message on Denny's cell so hopefully he will catch the package before it goes out. At any rate here are some pictures for your enjoyment.

ETA: Just got off the phone with Denny and we got it all straightened out.

Gas tube pushed out so it would "fit".

Heavier profile, longer bbl and step for ops inc break

Close up of the step

Shorter, midlength gas port and no step for ops inc break.
