it looks like del-ton's rifle kits dont have forward assisst. do they?

They do. They have several DPMS rifles that don't have the forward assist but I didn't see any kits without. Just check the description under the rifle.

My 16inch upper did. THe options they offer at del-ton are only limited by what you want to have done. Call them as they are great to deal with and very friendly and patient. I was very pleased with the service and the product.
