[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mag Refinishing

I was wondering if somebody could help me confirm that I've got the steps right for a flat black spray paint mag refinish- don't want to skrew up going about it. Basicaly, I just need to spray on a nice, even coating and then go over it with a Scotch Brite Hand Pad right? Anything else that I'm missing?

Good link, I only read the first of the 10 pages so maybe it's in there but I like his method with 1200 degree barbque paint, bake it, it's cheap per can and gives a very nice flat black finish that stands up to solvents. It will however scrape off.
