[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Lower/Upper Match

What are the best matches as far as fit and finish? Particularly, what goes best with a CMMG upper?

I reeeeally like my matching Mega uppers and lowers. I own 2 sets. I think CMMG also Teflon-coats their uppers, so the Mega lower should match well.

I have 3 sets of Mega and the funny thing is, the uppers are now marked "MEGA" and have the feed ramps. That was not always the case. The match between upper and lower is real good.

I believe that Mega would match up with CMMG. I know that Mega and Spikes Tactical matches up nicely.

A while back I had a Lauer lower and an LMT upper and the match was close, but noticable.

You can't put a LMT upper on an LMT lower without being able to tell the difference, usually one of the components is purple. BTW...Lauer Lowers are made by LMT.

I know Lauer is LMT

No purple was on my rifle. Both the upper and lower were black, but the shades were a little different. I think it was because the texture was different.

I don't have that rifle anymore. The majority of my rifles now are Mega.

My MEGA lower and CMMG upper are a VERY close match in color. There is a little difference in texture though.
