[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Front sight pin question

I am hoping to sight in my second build tommorow and I was wondering how far do you screw the front sight pin in?When I built it I put it flush with the front sight base.

As good a place to start as any..................i am assuming you mean the threaded portion flush, right, not the top of the pin with the ears.

And remember the rule about sight adjustment:
Move the rear sight IN THE DIRECTION you want to move the point of impact.
Move the front sight IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION you want to move the point of impact.

I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but it takes into consideration that when you move the sights, you also move the entire weapon to line up on your intended target.
