Ok just like to ask you all a question! Right now I can only afford a RRA complete upper or lower then the other part is going to have to come from a different company. Now I hoping to get a job in TX with a PD down there and the department I'm looking at lets you use AR's for your patrol rifle but they have to be made by RRA or Colt and I'm not going to buy a Colt! I would like to know would you spend the money and parts for a RRA upper or lower? |

I bought a complete RRA UTE upper here on the EE board for $450 and then I bought a stripped RRA lower and a RRA LPK and put it all together. The stripped RRA lowers are getting harder to come by but here in the Houston area Gun shows you can pick up a complete RRA lowers for about $250 new then just buy your upper and press 2 pins and save a couple hundred dollars. |
| It's only going to be a mix master until I get the job then both parts are going to be RRA! If I go with the upper its going to be a 16 inch Elite CAR A4 then I'm going to spend the extra money on up grades for the rifle I could buy the upper and lower both being RRA but then I would not have the money to buy sights,ammo, lights, trigger jobs, hand guards and other gear for it. So that is why I thought I'd do the mix right now and use the money I save on the other part to buy the goodies. |
