It's been a number of years since I built (or paid attention) a new tool (toy, you know the truth).   I'm considering getting a 'keep virginia zombie free' lower, if they're available.

My last build 'worked', but I didn't care for the trigger.  It wasn't nearly as nice as my RRA match trigger.

Any suggestions?

I saw

But I don't know anything about their triggers on the $200 complete lowers they offer

Jewell.

Mine's set at 24 oz.  First stage is about a pound and the second is half.

Go easy and you can prep it for long range.

For close and fast, pull through and you'll never feel the second stage.

URL?

I'm hitting to many matches with different websites to know for certain what you're refering to.

I've seen reference to a single stage 4.5 lb trigger, is this what you're talking about?

Please post a url.

I have a Mccormick GEN II trigger I bought early this year and put in my DPMS .308. Excellent, crisp 3lb trigger, reliably fires any surplus ammo I've used, never a trigger failure of any kind. The Mccormick website has a real interesting and informative page on AR triggers.

As I've noticed else where in the forum, I have never seen nor has anyone I know seen a report of a failure with a GEN II Mccormick. Looks like they nailed it when comes to crisp, light and reliable.

Drop in: Mccormick GEN II trigger

Fitted: JP (my preference)

$28 TJ: well, you get what you pay for. An improvement but not a match grade set up. I know because I have two and expected a little too much.

I toss the JP yellow spings in the trash when I get them.  Had light primer strikes because of them so I just run stock springs.

No idea what my lb is set at, could be 3 or 4.  No scale to check.
