Picked up a Flat top upper a while back with the M4 feedlip cut. Been waiting to get a matching barrel but I got bored tonight. Took a used Bushmaster 16 inch M4 type barrel that I had laying around and recut the barrel extentions to match the upper receiver feedlip cuts.

Needed - assorted files, sand paper and dremel with rubber polishing wheel. oh......... lots of patience.

I don't take the best pictures in the world but I think these will give you the idea.

As you can see the barrel extension and the receiver don't match

As they begin to get better

Finished

Nicely done, had to do it only once so far and it is not as hard as everyone thinks, just takes awhile. On the bright side when you are done you get perfectly polished feed ramps

This is why sometimes M4 feedramps can be over rated.  I've seen many that would have actually made feeding worse.

Nice job on your fix.  People polish ramps on 1911s all the time but for some reason, the people gasp when you want to polish an AR ramp.  Go figure.
